GOLDEN RETRIEVER

Developed in Scotland in the late 19th century from retriever, water spaniel and setter stock, the Golden Retriever was officially recognised as a breed in 1920.

Gold or cream in colour, adult males grow to 80 pounds and 24 inches at the shoulders and have a dense waterproof coat.
